Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and qualified Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team and provide remote educational services to K-12 students with visual impairments. Role Overview:

In this full-time, remote role, you'll be responsible for helping students with visual impairments achieve academic success by providing tailored instruction and ensuring they have the necessary accommodations. You'll work closely with school staff, families, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor each student's progress throughout the school year.

Duration: Full 2024-2025 School Year
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Remote - Work from Home
What You'll Do:

Deliver engaging virtual instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments, helping them access and succeed in the general education curriculum.
Create, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that each student's unique needs are met.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure the best educational practices and accommodations are in place for each student.
Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods and strategies as necessary to support learning and independence.
Teach essential adaptive skills that foster greater independence in students' daily lives.
Participate in IEP meetings and offer consultation on specific needs related to visual impairments.

What We're Looking For:

A current Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification in Montana.
Prior experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and school staff.
Strong organizational abilities and proficiency in managing virtual learning platforms.
The ability to work independently while providing personalized support to students.
