**Summer Intern Environmental Health and Safety Intern**

As an EHS Intern you will play an important role in assisting the Site EHS team to advance site EHS programs. If you are seeking a summer experience that offers meaningful projects, learning opportunities, professional development, and an opportunity to build strong relationships with your peers and leaders, Allegion is the right place for you!

**Possible projects include:**

+ Update and improve plant wide recycling program

+ Qualitative and quantitative industrial hygiene sampling program

+ Working with web-based safety training for employees and contractors

+ Conduct a variety of EHS related audits including haz-waste, LOTO, confined space, process safety, stormwater, LASER safety, rack inspection, machine guarding

+ Record retention program updates

+ Acton item closure from internal and external audits/inspection

+ Other tasks based on need and interest may be added

**What You Need to Succeed:**

+ Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety or other relevant discipline

+ Completion of Junior year at start of internship

+ Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.

+ Strong analytical skills and comfort with complex data analysis

+ Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint

+ Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques

+ A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegions business and customers

+ In addition, you ideally have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and some previous work experience; if not, were happy to provide all the support you will need to succeed in our summer internship

**Compensation** : This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

+ The expected Base Hourly Range: $25-26. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
