Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Associate to join our investment team. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, supporting portfolio company initiatives, and contributing to the firm’s investment strategy. The Associate will work directly with senior professionals and portfolio company management, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of private equity investing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of deal execution, including investment evaluation, financial analyses, deal structuring and acquisition financing, and legal documentation.
• Perform extensive due diligence, including investment screening, thesis development, leading discussions with management teams, coordinating with various advisors and other key stakeholders, and formulating and executing investment theses and business plans.
• Prepare and discuss transaction evaluation materials with Grovecourt’s Investment Committee.
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams, Grovecourt’s operations team, and senior advisors to manage current investments, including analyzing potential add-on investments, refinancing opportunities, and exit strategies.
• Conduct financial modeling, valuation analyses, and market research to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
• Develop investment memorandums and presentation materials for internal investment committees and external stakeholders.
• Build relationships with industry executives, intermediaries, and other key stakeholders to support deal sourcing and execution.
• Participate in transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution alongside senior team members.
• Contribute to the culture and firm-building efforts at Grovecourt, helping to shape growing investment firm.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with a solid understanding of valuation techniques, financial statements, and due diligence processes.
• Experience in evaluating investment opportunities and working with founder-led businesses is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
