We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our client’s team in Manhattan. The PNP will provide high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric patients, managing acute and chronic conditions while promoting wellness and preventive care. This role also includes the supervision and management of medical assistants to ensure efficient clinical operations and optimal patient care.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history reviews, physical exams, and developmental screenings.
* Diagnose and manage common pediatric illnesses, chronic conditions, and minor injuries.
* Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocols.
* Provide age-appropriate education and counseling to patients and their families on wellness, nutrition, vaccinations, and disease prevention.
* Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
* Team Leadership & Supervision:
* Oversee and manage medical assistants, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and high-quality patient care.
* Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to medical assistants.
* Monitor workflow efficiency and optimize clinic operations for improved patient experience.
* Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control policies, and best practices in pediatric care.
* Administrative & Operational Duties:
* Document all patient encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic meetings.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
* Stay current with best practices, emerging trends, and continuing education in pediatric healthcare.
*Requirements:*
* Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program.
* Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in New York.
* Experience in Pediatrics outpatient or primary care setting preferred.
* Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
