At Silana, we’re transforming the fashion industry by developing intelligent robotic solutions that automate fabric handling and sewing. Join us as a Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision) and help us solve some of the toughest challenges in fashion automation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software and machine learning models to enhance the performance and efficiency of our vision systems.
• Conduct research and develop cutting-edge solutions, technologies, and algorithms in computer vision and machine learning as part of the Perception Team.
• Prototype advanced software technologies in areas like robotics, quality detection, auto-calibration, machine perception, and deep learning.
• Analyze, optimize, and improve the performance, accuracy, and robustness of currently deployed solutions.
• Code in Python and C++ using libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch to develop and deploy computer vision models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate inspection systems into robotic automation solutions.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Computer Vision (Master’s degree preferred).
• Solid understanding of linear algebra, probabilistic theory, numerical optimization, and deep learning, with hands-on implementation experience.
• Expertise in applied computer vision, including domains like 3D Object Detection, Semantic Segmentation, Depth Estimation, or Computational Geometry.
• Experience with machine learning (especially deep learning), numerical optimization, and data pipelines within frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Proven ability to prototype and optimize algorithms rapidly.
• Proficiency in C++; Python experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with relevant machine learning techniques and libraries.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex research clearly.
• Demonstrated software engineering experience through internships, projects, coding competitions, open-source contributions, or research.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
