JOB DESCRIPTION
The laboratory assistant is responsible for collection of various sample types. Performing phlebotomy is primary mode of collection. Staff also provide collection instructions to patients for urinalysis, stool, and other sample types. Staff also assist with cardiac procedures including but not limited to EKGs, Holter, and Event Monitor placement. At the core of what they do, laboratory assistants must exhibit a high level of trust in their abilities to put the patient at ease and provide a safe, warm, and pleasant experience for our patients.
Work Schedule: 32 hrs weekly / .8 FTE
4 shifts per week, 8-hour days, occasional weekends, times rotated between staff, starts varying between 7AM and noon.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience performing phlebotomy
Experience with pediatric and oncology patients.
Experience with Laboratory Information Systems.
Excellent customer service skills required
Licensure or Certificate from an Accredited program of Phlebotomy

$37564.80 - $56347.20 annually
Pay Range Statement
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity. After the salary guarantee period, this position will be compensated based on work RVU productivity. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for work RVU productivity bonus.
