Job Description


We are looking for an experienced Industrial Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll oversee the production process, ensure product quality, and manage the production team to meet operational goals. You will participate in upper management discussions and propose and implement changes to processes. You will play a key part in improving efficiency and keeping us be competitive in the industry. You will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Manages Others : Slides Business Team Leader, Sheet Metal Products Business Team Leader, Laser Department, Paint Department, Shipping Department, Die Shop

Key Responsibilities

  • Time will be split between guiding and assisting current business team leaders over their work groups and overseeing several shared resources such as laser department and paint department.
  • Develop production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resources.
  • Work with department heads to align production with business goals. Hold regular meetings with Supervisors and key staff.
  • Identify and prioritize projects and strategies to improve production processes and teams to improve workflow
  • Work with Team Leads to develop their skills to support and manage their employees.
  • Track production performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
  • Lead, train, and support production staff in achieving performance goals.
  • Work with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Foster communication across departments like quality assurance, maintenance, and shipping.
  • Use production data to guide process improvements and address equipment or staffing needs.
  • Resolve production issues quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to the team.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, quality control, and cost management.
  • Experience with production planning software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards (OSHA).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and analyze data effectively.
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Proven experience in training staff in productivity and safety.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds if necessary.
