Full Time Delivery Driver position
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary.
Responsibilities
Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload freight, ensuring that items are secured properly for transport.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
Perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance on delivery vehicles as required.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
Ability to lift heavy items (up to 100 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
A commitment to providing exceptional customer service at all times.
