Job Description

Are you a creative individual with a passion for luxury fashion and the retail world? Retail For The People is on the hunt for a motivated Content Creation Intern to join our team! This isn't just any internship—it's an exciting opportunity where you'll get hands-on experience in crafting captivating content for a luxury fashion & retail-focused company’s social marketing channels. If you're eager to film, edit, explore retail hotspots, and help shape our content strategy, this is the perfect role for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Create & Innovate: Dream up, produce, and deliver 2-4 short-form original videos weekly that align with our brand's voice and content strategy.
  • Visual Storytelling: Craft stunning photo content, including original product photography, to elevate our brand's visual identity.
  • In-Person Exploration: Visit shopping properties and districts to gather inspiration, create content, and build partnerships.
  • Experiment & Engage: Test various content formats to discover what resonates with our audience and keeps them coming back for more.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep your finger on the pulse of emerging retail trends and topics, ensuring our content stays fresh and relevant.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our team to develop exciting content strategies and maintain an engaging social marketing calendar.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Dive into performance metrics, analyze the success of our videos, and use these insights to make our content even better.

Requirements:

  • Be local to the greater Miami or greater New York City area —these cities are your creative playground.
  • A deep love for luxury fashion, the retail industry, and content creation is a must.
  • Proficiency in video editing software and photo editing tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to share your ideas and collaborate effectively.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and visual storytelling.
  • Be flexible and thrive under changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field (preferred).

Duration:
Fall Internship Starts week of September 9, 2024 - December 6, 2024

Internships are unpaid and for college credit only.
