What Youll Do This Summer

+ The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Internship (Summer 2024) is a 10-12 week paid assignment.

+ The internship is designed to provide a student with real world experience to support professional development.

+ Student would have the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions, corporate meetings, networking events and/or community activities.

+ Internship will involve value added projects with opportunity to interact with various departments to acquire relevant skills.

+ Projects would involve applying knowledge to make improvements in an industrial environment.

+ Potential for internship to lead to full time employment after graduation!

About the Operations Team

The Operations Team is comprised of diverse individuals who bring a wide breadth of knowledge and experience to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of Beech-Nut Nutritions LEED certified production facility. The team implements processes and programs to optimize production capabilities, supervises production activities to ensure adherence to BNN ethics and safety procedures, develops production plans and staffing schedules, and oversees basic maintenance and sanitation of machinery and equipment. The team works collaboratively to make sure every aspect of production is running efficiently and effectively so we can continue to do what we do best making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!

About the Work Environment

This position is located at the Amsterdam, New York LEED certified production facility. Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. The candidate will also be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.

What Youll Need

+ Must be registered as a current full-time student pursuing a bachelors degree in related field.

+ Applicant must be authorized to work in the US for the entire duration of the internship.

+ Prefer at least 3rd year of study has been completed.

+ Must demonstrate a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

+ Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Above average skills, especially in Excel.

Rate of Pay: $16.50 per hour and pay is bi-weekly.
