Job Title: Senior Electrical Estimator

Location: Newark, New Jersey

Salary: $140,000 per year

Are you a seasoned electrical estimator with a strong track record in the industry? We’re seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team in Newark, NJ . This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to take the lead in estimating projects and contributing to the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and contract documents to determine project requirements and scope of work.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and estimate material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
• Prepare and present bid proposals, including breakdowns of costs and schedules.
• Monitor and track projects post-bid, providing cost and value analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated with industry trends, building codes, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an electrical estimator, preferably in a senior role
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installations
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
• Strong understanding of estimation software and tools (Accubid, McCormick, etc.)
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
