Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Manager for our Aerospace Manufacturing division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety and quality. This is a critical role that will drive continuous improvement in our EHS performance and ensure the well-being of our employees. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the aerospace industry, including ground services, space planning, and composite materials. Bilingual candidates with proficiency in Spanish are highly preferred. This is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs.
2. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental laws and regulations.
3. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
4. Oversee hazardous waste management and ensure proper disposal in compliance with regulations.
5. Maintain a strong understanding of environmental policies and laws to ensure company compliance.
6. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
7. Provide guidance and training to staff on EHS matters, promoting a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
8. Develop and implement emergency procedures and response plans, including fire safety protocols.
9. Oversee machine maintenance and ensure safety standards are met.
10. Work closely with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of operations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in aerospace.
3. Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
4. Experience in conducting environmental audits and implementing corrective actions.
5. Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
6. Knowledge of space planning, ground services, and composite materials in the aerospace industry.
7. Strong skills in risk assessment and management.
8. Experience in hazardous waste management and environmental impact assessments.
9. Solid understanding of environmental policies and laws.
10. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
11. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.
