Job Description

Soni is partnering with a North Jersey based Non-Profit Organization that is looking to add a Chief Financial Officer to their growing organization. This CFO role requires a candidate that can be a strategic partner to the CEO and also not be afraid to roll up their sleeves and assist the team with the day-to-day accounting and finance functions. Responsibilities:

• Monitor the accounting function and financial reports necessary to track all revenue and expenses of the corporation.
• Oversee the general ledger and accounting systems in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards and practices.
• Oversee the preparation of required schedules, completion of annual tax filings, and audit of the organization's finances.
• Identify adjustments, conduct monthly close, monitor the development of all financial statements for all accounts, and oversee bank reconciliations.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of expenditure reports required by funding agencies and management.
• Monitor payments from funding agencies and hospitals to ensure adequate cash flow.
• Conduct variance analyses and issue reports to Partnership supervisors and the Finance Committee.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Establish, maintain, and monitor banking relationships; maximize cash flow and security of assets.
• Oversee maintenance of insurance coverage for auto, professional liability, workers compensation, directors and officers, and general/commercial liability policies.
• As an Executive Management team member, may represent the President & CEO at high-profile meetings.
• Provide staff support to the Finance and Audit Committees of the Board; interact with Board members.
• Handle other assignments as requested.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Extensive nonprofit executive experience, including finance, accounting, budgeting contracting, automated reporting, audits, and federal/state financial regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and oversee preparation of RFPs, financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Experience tracking high volume of grants that have different reporting requirements and time frames.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in supervision with ability to motivate a team to produce quality work
• Experience evaluating and negotiating contracts, managing systems and/or process changes
• Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and other accounting software

Preferred: MBA or CPA Experience with MIP Healthcare industry experience Compensation: $160,000-$180,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications. Soni Resources
