Category & Assortment Manager (REMOTE) Location Remote :
Summary The Category & Assortment Manager is responsible for driving top and bottom-line performance through the assortment strategy in select retail distribution across respective geographies of ownership (i.e.. US, Canada, etc.). This role leverages customer strategy, sales and financial analytics, marketplace insights and the product pipeline to develop recommendations for clip programs and panel assortments specific to each retailer. Partner with buying team on product assortment changes while meeting the needs of the retailer. Develop selling stories to get to win/win outcomes, with Customer Development and RSM to ensure understanding and execution of the assortment plan. Responsibilities include developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers while connecting with key business executives and teams. The Category & Assortment Manager functions as a liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of customer requests. Reports to the VP/GMM of Merchandise Buying. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Manage and oversee customer accounts and related actions needed for accounts.
- Drive actionable assortment recommendations based on sales and financial analytics, marketplace knowledge, retailer strategies and product pipeline strategies
- Forecast and track customer account metrics to ensure budget goals are met and/or risks are communicated
- Identify opportunities to generate and grow sales among accounts
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customer development counterparts
- Prepare and present monthly business updates and reviews to pertinent accounts
- Attend customer appointments and store walks as needed
- Work in conjunction with visual department on assortment maintenance/management
- Oversee the production of customer facing content on current, relevant topics at the macro and customer level
- Cross-functional partner in annual division strategic plan development and responsible for distribution impact to business and strategies to improve results
- Identify opportunities to generate and grow sales among accounts
- Serve as the point of contact for select assigned customers
- Service multiple clients concurrently, while meeting deadlines
- Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor

Experience and Credentials - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years' experience in consumer products related industries like retail, wholesale buying, food market and/or account management
- Strong computer skills including proficient competence with Microsoft365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
