Are you seeking a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed - today and into tomorrow? By joining our team as a bridge engineer, you’ll be a lead technical engineer on bridge design projects and perform complex structural analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation (highway and rail) projects. We’ll ask you to assist with planning, analysis, design, plan preparation, specification development, quantity and cost estimating, and report writing.
We regularly work with geotechnical, highway, and hydraulic engineers so you will use your general understanding of those disciplines to coordinate project work. As a lead engineer, we’ll expect you to assist less experienced teammates on transportation engineering projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. One way you will continue to develop professionally, is when we ask you to be active in technical societies and be available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Professional years of demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, to include analysis, design and plan development of new and rehabilitation projects is required
• Previously demonstrated project experience with MassDOT, MBTA and other New England transportation agencies
• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Demonstrated proficient knowledge of SAP2000, CSiBridge, Midas, or other structural design/analyses programs desirable.
• Must have a solid understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Structural Engineer (SE) License
